What is Dermaceutic Peels?

Dermaceutic peels are chemical peels that are designed to help improve skin conditions and disorders. These range of cosmeceuticals are not available to purchase in beauty clinics and should only be carried out by trained medical professionals and not cosmetologists

What are Dermaceutic Peels good for?

The results are improvements in the skins appearance by treating problematic acne, oily skin, pigmentation, wrinkles, fine lines, and damage caused by (sun)light. The peel can be used on almost all parts of the body including the face, and are suitable for almost every skin type and color. There are some products in the range that can also be used to treat stretch marks and melasma.

Who should not use the Dermaceutic Peels treatment?

Pregnant women; women who are breastfeeding; those currently using a chemical peel, laser skin rejuvenation programs or those using retinol products should not use a dermaceutic peel. Those suffering from recent sunburn, scarring, depiliation (hair removal) and skin infections such as herpes should also avoid using the peeling products.

What types of Dermaceutic Peels are there?

There are four main types of peels. There is the mask peel which is used for the treatment of acne, oily skin and removing dead skin cells; the milk peel is used for fine wrinkles, skin lightening and spot treatment; cosmo peel for skin rejuvenation, acne damage and stretch marks; and the spot peel for melasma and skin pigmentation.

Are all skin types suitable?

The cosmo treatment should be used on skin types 1-3, while the the spot treatment should be used on skin types 3- 6.

What happens during a Dermaceutic Peels treatment?

In all cases, the skin is cleaned using Dermaceutic Cleanser 5 and then rinse with water. The desired peel is then applied to the face after the skin has been rinsed and left for awhile before being rinse off with water. The mask peel and milk peel can generally be expected to be repeated every two weeks for up to four sessions. The spot peel and cosmo can only be applied again after a month. When using either the milk, cosmo or spot peel, to improve the final result it is advisable to twice daily apply Dermaceutic Serum 25 to the skin along with Turnover or Light Ceutic at night during the two weeks prior to treatment. After using either the spot, milk, or cosmo peel, direct contact with sunlight should be evaded and sunscreen, such as Sun Ceutic, should be used. Repair creams such as K Ceutic and Hyal Ceutic may also be applied to areas of redness or irritation. Once these symptoms have disappeared, it is recommended that Serum 25, Turnover, or Light Ceutic is continued to be used.

Are there any side-effects?

There are potential side effects that would be further discussed during consultation, but it is common for patients to experience redness and irritation in the first three days after treatment, which can be quickly resolved by use of the at-home skincare products.

Dermaceutic at-home products

The skincare range, Dermaceutic, was developed by a group of medical scientists, dermatologists and surgeons who specialized in facial rejuvenation and wanted to offer skin care products to patients that had undergone surgical or cosmetic treatments. These At-Home formulations were designed to be used in conjunction with the peel products but in the comfort of your own home to maximize the probability of getting the desired results. The depths of the peels range from being very superficial to medium and contain a variety of antioxidants and alpha-hydroxy acids. These products include the Serum 25, Hyal Ceutic. Light Ceutic, Turnover, K Ceutic SPF40 and the Dermaceutic Serum 25.


Ageing skin, smoker`s complexion, dark spots and wrinkles, stretch marks.


Clean the face using Cleanser 5, rinse and dry. No alcohol or acetone-based toners. Leave Cosmo Peel on for 12 hours or until the following morning to take effect.

Use K ceutic every morning for at least a week as a post-peel repair treatment. K ceutic contains a sunscreen with an SPF of 40.

We recommend to combine the peel with a well tailored personal care treatment at home.
