Botox and Fillers are a common everyday procedure
Getting Botox Cosmetic or hyaluronic acid wrinkle fillers isn’t something most people keep secret, a new study shows. The survey, which comes from the Aesthetic Surgery Education & Research Foundation, included 687 U.S. patients who got Botox Cosmetic and/or hyaluronic acid dermal fillers such as Juvederm, Restylane, Perlane, Evolence, Prevelle Silk, Hylaform, and Captique.
In the survey, participants were asked if they had told anyone about their use of Botox Cosmetic or hyaluronic acid fillers.
Almost all participants — 87% — said they had. Most said they’d confided in close friends or family. They were less likely to say they’d told co-workers or casual friends, but 43% said they told “anyone who asked.” Among people who said they’d told people about their use of Botox Cosmetic or hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, 70% said the people they’d told had been supportive. Only 12% said their confidants had been critical, and 32% said their confidant was surprised to learn of their treatments.
